Scope:
This course has been designed to meet the requirements of STCW section
A-V1/2 and is based on the guidelines of IMO Model Course 1.23.
Course is open to all seafarers who are designated to take charge of different types of survival craft
Objective:
After successful completion of the course, the trainees will be competent to handle and take charge of such boats during or after launch in adverse weather and sea conditions and to operate.
Course Content:
- Ship emergency situation
- Use of open lifeboats, totally enclosed lifeboats, rescue boats and davit launched liferafts
- Rigging and use of life-saving appliances, including electronic aids
- Search and rescue organisation and procedures
- Recovery of personnel from the water
- Physiology

The Republic of Panama – Panama Marine Survey & Certification Services Inc.
Prerequisite:
- Identification card or passport
- 2 passport size colored photographs
- 12 months certified sea service

Note to Client:
After successful completion of the course and examination at the Harbour Office candidates will receive a Proficiency in Fast Rescue Boats Operations certificate issued by the Ministry of the Sea, Transport and Infrastructure of the Republic of Croatia.
