Scope:

The course is conducted in accordance to the requirements of STCW regulation B-I/12 and section B-I/12.40 of the STCW Code and is based on the guidelines of IMO Model Course 2.06.
This course is intended for senior officers, masters and chief engineers.

Objective:

The trainees who successfully complete the course will be able to show a thorough understanding of the principles and practicalities for safe and pollution free cargo operations and show an understanding of the procedures required to produce efficient operational plans.

Course Content:

Familiarization
Oil tanker design and equipment
Inert gas system (IGS)
Crude oil washing (COW)
Oil tanker operations
Practice of communication
Operational problems
Review and final assessment

Advanced oil tanker certificate
